Sim Betting Football has entered alpha stage

Sim Betting Football has entered alpha stage

We are happy to announce that, after 5 months of development, Sim Betting Football has entered alpha stage, which basically means the core gameplay has been implemented and the game is now playable even if still lacking some major features.

If this is the first time you see this blog/website you probably need to know that Sim Betting Football is a mobile game in which the player can bet virtual coins on simulated football matches. For more details you can read the game announcement.

What’s done

At the current stage of development the game still looks pretty minimalistic, but the following main features have already been successfully implemented:

  • procedural data generation – players and teams are entirely generated by the game
  • match simulation
  • placing single bets
  • clubs browsing – multiple screens for teams and player profiles
  • season progression – it’s possible to play through a whole season

In other words, it’s possible to start a new game and follow the simulation and evolution of multiple leagues placing bets on the matches and winning or losing (virtual) money according to the outcomes.

What’s missing

Many features are still missing or are only partially implemented at the moment. Maybe not all of them will be available in the first release of the game, but they will be added at some point in the future for sure.

The main missing features at the moment are:

  • news system
  • transfers
  • national and international cups
  • multiple seasons progression
  • in-play bets
  • loading and saving
  • tutorial

Furthermore many existing features need improvements and balancing, but that’s something that will be reserved to the beta stage.

What’s next

In the next 2 and half weeks the development will be focused on the progression of the simulation over multiple seasons, the news system and the introduction of new betting markets. Furthermore new screens will be introduced to provide useful statistics on teams and players of every simulated league.

If everything goes according to plans we’ll be also launching a closed beta program at the beginning of next month, but stay tuned as we have much more planned for the weeks to come!

We are also going to post more frequent updates from now on and will show something soon, so don’t forget to sign our newsletter and to follow Sim Betting Football on your favourite social networks for not missing the upcoming news.
